1 mean ostrich

so a couple of summers ago while we met up with my family in Salmon Arm, we spent an afternoon at a farmer's market/petting zoo. It was one of the kind that you could buy bags of food and feed the animals so of course we did that. All the animals were so friendly except this mean little ostrich who would bite your hand off if you didn't feed him fast enough. . .my poor husband came super close to getting bit, so to say the least we didn't spend too much time with the ostrich

Hello everyone!!! How are you doing?? Today is bitter sweet as it was my last day of work today, I am taking the summer off (so more scrapping time) to spend time with my son before he starts kindergarden in the fall.

Pixels and Paper July DT reveal

and then it was July!!!!! It is the first of July and that means new inspiration at Pixels and Paper!!! This month is a very cool photo and the theme is WINTER


Here is my take, I was inspired by the fog (which I tried to copy using gesso), and also by the father figure (which is why I used a picture of my brother with his family). The theme this month is winter and I used their Christmas card from last year. I added some ink splatters and did some reverse stamping with snowflakes (yes reverse stamping. . .I will be doing a tutorial in august so check back with Pixels and Paper's blog in August to learn how!!!)

Let's Scrap Summer Blog Hop and DT reveal

Hello everyone and Happy Canada Day!!!!! It is July 1st and that means here in Canada we celebrate our nation's birthday but also new sketch day at Let's Scrap!!! This month we are doing things a little differently (keep scrolling down for something super fun with a chance to win LOTS of prizes) but first off here is the sketch:

So much fun right??? I loved this sketch and wanted to show how versatile it can be so made a whole bunch of fun projects. First up a double pager where I pretty much stuck to the original sketch:
