Family and Friends Summer (142/365)

I am also submitting this for Lasting Memories - sunny shores as the photo was taken at the Harbour Quay in Port Alberni along the shore of the Alberni Inlet.

I am seriously in love with this layout!!! I love how bright and vibrant it is and how it just breathes life onto the page.  I was drawn to the bright summery colours and the cloud.

Christmas from the hancocks - Sketches in Thyme #145 (141/365)

Next up is a fun layout I created of the Christmas card we received this year from one of my friends:

I created this layout based on a Shawn Lahr ksetch for Sketches in Thyme #145. . .now when I first saw this sketch I was completely stumped. . .did not know what i was going to do, i was so lost and really didn't have a clue of where to start. But I started looking at papers and photos and then it just kinda came together (don't you just love when that happens??). The circle was actually made with a TCW workshop template and gelatos (learned a new technique this weekend so i applied it to this layout!!). Anyways here is the sketch i used:

Everyday - ScrapMuch? April 24th DT reveal (137/365)

Good morning everyone!!!! It's Friday which means it's ScrapMuch sketch-y Friday!!!! This Friday is even more exciting than others since not only is it DT reveal day it is also crop weekend!!!! Once a year I get to go cropping in Cold Lake (45 minutes away); unfortunately it's not a true weekend away since I am still driving home at night but i'm still considering it a weekend crop. I prepped 25 layouts (ambitious I know) which took me all day Wednesday, but I still have to finish packing and do some cuts on my cameo before I can call packing done :)

Anyways back to this week's reveal, I stayed pretty true to the sketch as I had really fun photos that i wanted to use:

I became an aunt for the second time last week!!!! Little Arian came 2 weeks early but he is completely healthy and so cute and little. When we were home at Christmas, we brought Sadie (my niece - - Arian's older sister) a present and gave it to her parents so she could open it once her brother got here and now that her brother is here, i made her a big sister card:

Minnie Mouse is Sadie's absolute favorite right now so I added a minnie sticker to her flower :)

I used sketch~n~scrap's #78 sketch by Lisa Hidy which is such a fun sketch, when i originally saw it I was intimidated by the sketch and really didn't know if I would even play along with this one but once I found the photos it just all came together and i'm so happy with it:
