Here is my take:
I changed up the sketch a bit by adding a long quote rather than an title, and I used train tracks and cogs as my centre focal point. The tabs on the right hand side do open up to reveal more photos and journalling:
A couple of close-ups. I cut the title with my silhouette and used the negative space created by the letters as my quote. I then added a background paper behind my cut file and then added stickles to give the letters some dimension:
I also wanted to add some fun to the layout because it was such a wonderful afternoon riding on the train, so I added a couple of flourishes (prima), chipboard cogs (dusty attic) that I stained with distress stain, and added some flair:
The black strips are washi tape (i love how they have hexagons all over them). The papers are mostly pebbles and the travel journal spots are from bo bunny.
Thank you for stopping by and I really hope you can find some time to play along, you have until the end of the month to link up your project for a chance to win a fabulous prize: http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.ca/
