til next time (393/365)

final post to share with you tonight is a sweet photo of my son and his cousin Sadie. This photo was taken the night before we were to leave so it would be the last time my son would see his cousin for an entire year (well except for skype but that's not really the same thing).

I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 1 November sketch: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2015/11/team-november-week-1.html

Home for the holidays (392/365)

Next up is a fun layout of my son at a hockey game last Christmas vacation when we went back home and my dad wanted to take him to a game. I save the tickets from the game and added them to this layout as well:

Happy Birthday Dinosaur Card

A couple of weeks ago, my son and I went to his friend's third birthday party, I made her a sign for her room and decided to make a card as well, since she was having a dinosaur party, i made her a girly dinosaur card:

Good stuff (390/365)

Greeting everyone, it has been a crazy time in my life. I started work at the beginning of September and you would think that I would be adjusted to working full-time but you know life just keeps throwing me curve balls. . .just when we think we finally have answers to my health problems, we are thrown ANOTHER twist. Between trying to get ready for Christmas, work commitments, family commitments, household chores and health issues which me utterly exhausted by the end of the day I have no time to scrap for myself. However, I was able to find time to scrap for myself, although it has taken about a week to get them posted (better late than never).

First up is a layout I made of my son and husband, very rarely do i get pictures of my husband and even rarer with him and my son in the same picture so I was very grateful to go thru my pictures and find this one gem of a picture!!!

I was inspired by PaperCrafter's Corner magazine monday week #174: http://papercrafterscorner.com/blog/papercrafting-challenge-magazine-mondays-week-124/

I was inspired by the fall colours (blue, red, yellow) and scattering of flowers (but instead i used enamel dots)

peace Let's Scrap November 1st DT reveal (388-389/365)

Good morning everyone, hope you are all doing fine this morning and for those of you (like myself) that had a time change last night (fall back), hope you enjoyed your extra hour of sleep!!!

It is November 1st and you know what that means - - - another Let's Scrap sketch challenge, this one was such a wonderfully beautiful sketch so when I saw it I knew I wanted to do something special with it. I used these photos from our drive back to Alberta last Christmas, these were actually taken on the side of the road (on the Coquihalla in British Columbia) while stopped on the side of the road at a rest stop so my husband could smoke.

And your sketch inspiration:

I really had good intentions of staying close to the sketch but then when I started cutting my photos I realized that was just not happening so I stayed somewhat close to the sketch but in a way that was my own.

Supplies used:
paper: stampin up (cardstock), snowflake paper (no clue has been in my stash for 10+ years)
ribbon: michaels
stamp: basic grey
embossing powder & ribbon: martha  stewart
eyelets: unknown, used crop a dile to punch the holes and set the eyelets
snowflake chipboard: a2z scraplets that I painted with tim holtz (broken china) then glittered 3x with martha stewart fine glitter (blue, white, and teal)
frame: fancy pants
doilies: doodlebug design
title: jillibean soup
flourishes: prima
washi tape & snowflake stickers: dollar store
border: recollections
stamp: stampin' up (scalloped border)
button; we r memory keepers
other: heat gun (martha stewart), liquid pearls (baby blue)

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments, hope you can play along this month to win a fabulous prize: http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.ca/
