Pixels and Paper Challenge January Guest Designer (layout 11-12/365)

A couple of weeks ago, I got a very exciting email asking me to be a guest designer for January's Pixels and Paper challenge. I jumped at the opportunity and was asked to create a project based on this photo as inspiration:

I loved this photo so much that I was actually inspired and created two separate layouts.

The first layout is: beach toes. I created the sunburst, clouds and title with my new silhouette. To create the sunshine I twisted american craft twine around a piece of therm-o-web icraft dots 2". I added a bit of paint behind the clouds to add some dimensions and added glitter glue to the sunburst.I also painted the "sand" paper with folk art gold glitter paint. My second layout I created: sunshine: catching waves. I love this photo so much, it was taken last summer during our family camping trip in the shuswap. I created the background using blue, white and gold gelatos, water and a paintbrush. While it was drying I cut the background using my silhouette. I then took out all of the pieces of papers and used studio calico (atlantic 6x6 paper pad) for the beach supplies. Other supplies: imaginisce (endless summer die cuts), we r memory keeper (enamel shapes: warm), tpc studio (just beachy).
