You will forever be my always (330/365)

Hello, I'm back to share a quick layout with you. I haven't had as much time to scrap this week as we made the decision that I would go back to work (on a part-time basis ideally). And this week I've been busy going on a couple of interviews. I am happy to announce that starting next week I will be going back to work (on a part time basis YAY). It will be three days a week, which is ideal since I will still have two days to stay home with my son :)

Last night I tried to go to bed but since my husband was star fishing across the bed I decided to let him be for a while and got a layout done. This layout came together so quickly, I was so surprised, but I am happy with the outcome.

The background is a sheet of vellum I have had for over 10 years, I put it over a piece of paper I've had for probably 5 years - - love when i can use my stash by combining new and old!!!

I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 3 sketch:

Last noel at home (329/365)

this past Christmas was bittersweet because it was the first time in 20 years that both my dad's sisters came home for Christmas, but it was sad because sometime between Christmas Eve and Christmas day, my grandma suffered a stroke which ultimately landed her in the hospital on the 28th permanently. She is now in hospice and will be there for the rest of her life so last Christmas was her last Christmas in her home. These are a couple of pictures my aunt took Christmas morning.

I used Stuck? Sketches August 15th sketch:

in addition to DCWV papers, I used recollection embellies, dollar store stickers/washi tape, little yellow bicycle stick pins.

1 direction christmas (328/365)

next up is a fun layout of a friend of mine. She is a huge 1 direction fan so when i was boxing day shopping i found a 1 direction Christmas ornament at 75% off that sings!! I called her mom to make sure she didn't have it and then gave it to her mom that night when she came for a visit. These were the pictures her mom took as she opened it (she was so excited):

I used Scrapbook Challenges Sizzlin Sumer #07:
SBC_SS15_07

In addition to DCWV candy cane lane papers, I used bo bunny mistletoe flowers, dollar store washi, thickers, jillibean soup speach bubble, unknown brad and zazz glittler.

Celebrate Graduation - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team B reveal (322/365)

Good morning and happy Friday!!! Do you have any plans this weekend?? My sister-in-law is coming up for a visit tomorrow and we are going to go to Mudfest to watch demolition derby and a concert.

It's Friday and you know what that means Skech-y friday at ScrapMuch? here is my take on this week's sketch.

A friend's daughter graduated high school this past June and this is the card they sent out. I deconstructed the card by taking the back off and using that as the journalling for my layout. The school colours are red and white so i incorporated the flowers in her colours and since the card was in silver and black I used those colours in the layout. I stamped images around the layout and then silver heat embossed them.

Here is this week's sketch to inspire you (i stayed pretty close to the sketch this week):

Thank you for stopping by. Hope I have inspired  you to play along this month, you have until August 29th to link up your project for the chance to win a prize: http://shopscrapmuch.blogspot.ca/2015/08/sketch-y-friday-with-team-b-august-21.html

Together is Best (321/365)

next up today is a  layout of my parents with both their grandkids from Summer 2013. The paper is from a paper pad my parents got for me for my birthday last weekend and I got in the mail this week. It is Craft Smith Tea Party, usually I don't use big bold patterns as my background but this paper is so perfect for this photo because they were sitting in front of my mom's rose garden :)

I used Let's Get Sketchy Week 2 sketch, I love this sketch and it worked so perfectly for this photo:

So to say the least, i have a bunch of layouts to share with you today (as we finally had a nice day yesterday so i was able to take good pictures). petting zoo (311-312)

final post tonight is a double page I created based on Let's Scrap August 1 sketch. These pictures are from last year when we met my parents in Salmon Arm for a week of camping and one afternoon we went to the petting zoo:

This was such a fun day!!! Everyone fed the animals and it was lots of fun and we all had lots of laughs :)

I was inspired by Let's Scrap Sketches August 1st sketch: http://letsscrapsketches.blogspot.ca/2015/08/new-sketch-8-1-15.html

water boy (310/365)

next up is a super fun layout of my mom, son, and husband swimming in Sylvan Lake a couple of years ago when we went on a family camping trip. It was my son's first time swimming in a lake (and since it was not a really hot day), the lake was quite cool.

The waves, arrow and splashes are all cut with my silhouette. The overlay is from fancy pants. Die cuts are from fancy pants and bo bunny. The tag and fish I have had in my stash for years!!! Papers are pebbles and dcwv.

I was inspired by PaperCrafters Corner Magazine Monday week 111, by the colours and the swimsuit: http://papercrafterscorner.com/blog/papercrafting-challenge-magazine-mondays-week-111/

music class (309/365)

next up is a fun layout of my son's first music class, it was a eight week class, once a week. He was the youngest child in the class, and his first "class" with a teacher. I stayed in the class and helped him focus, he did quite well, and loved playing the instruments - - listening to theory not so much. I took these pictures during one of his last classes, but did it when he wasn't paying attention so i wouldn't distract him:

the music notes and doily were done on my silhouette. i added a bit of mist just to give it some texture. I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 1 sketch: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2015/08/team-august-week-1.html
