Big Kid

Final layout to share with you today is one of my son, this picture my husband took. I covered the naked bum with an icon.

Puddle Jumper

The second sketch at Let's Scrap was super inspiring to me as I have been wanting to scrap these photos of my son playing in the rain for the last two years:

The bear and title were cut with my silhouette. The quote was done with sketch pens and my silhouette. I used Echo Park paper and unknown washi.  Here is 3-15-17 sketch:

Next up is a layout of my friend's wedding a couple of summers ago.

Love You

Next up is a sweet photo of my son and his BFF (our cat, Suzie). This layout is especially special since it was my son who picked out the cat papers at the scrapbook store (as he said "suzie would really like if you used these papers to scrapbook her").

I used Sketches in Thyme #270, although I flipped the sketch for better flow: http://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.ca/2017/03/karries-take-on-sketch-270.html

I am also submitting this layout to 123 Challenge: http://123-challenge-blog.blogspot.ca/2017/03/123-challenge-march-2017.html

Mother's Day Brunch

I am submitting this to March Scrappy Friends challenge.

I was inspired by both Rochelle Spears bingo http://rochellespears.blogspot.ca/2017/03/march-scrappy-friends-challenge-bingo.html

The Big 6-0

Next up is from my mom's birthday last year. It was her 60th birthday and that deserved two cakes, one at her house, the other when she came to visit us a couple weeks after her birthday.

I was inspired by sketch~n~scrap sketch #124: http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com

I was also inspired by scrap our stash tic-tac-toe challenge: http://scrapourstash.blogspot.ca/2017/03/march-tic-tac-toe-stash-challenge-guest.html

I used a charm (in the balloon), ink and mini alphas.

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments!!!!

Naptime

Next up is a fun layout of my son and cat taking a nap together on the floor of our new house. It was just so cute I had snap a picture of the two of them.

Collect moments not things

I have had a busy week scrapping and have some time to show you all my creations!!!!

First up is a colourful layout of my son at the Canada Day fireworks a couple of years ago in St. Paul, Alberta. I used recollection papers and enamel dots, unknown ribbon. The fireworks I created by cutting them with my silhouette and then using glitter glue in dual colours.

I was inspired by Sketches in Thyme#269, I flipped the sketch so it worked with my photos: http://sketchesinthyme.blogspot.ca/2017/03/savannas-take-on-sketch-269.html

Ryleigh's Birthday

Next up is a fun layout I created of my cousin's daughter's birthday last year at an indoor playroom. My mom was up as she had helped my brother move up this way so she ws able to celebrate as well.

I used March-1-2017 Let's Scrap Sketch. I love their sketches as I take way too many pictures and they always have great two-pagers with lots pictures. I especially loved this sketch because of the circular photos (which I was able to focus on my mom and my uncle going down the slide). Here is Let's Scrap sketch:

Mom life is the best life

Next up is a simple layout I did of myself (I rarely take selfies), I kept it simple to focus on the beauty and tranquility of the photos. This past September was unusually beautiful in Northern Alberta that I was actually able to walk in the mornings my son went to school. It was great self-care and I consider myself very fortunate that I am able to be a stay-at-home mom.

I created this layout for Scrap the Girls March challenge: http://scrap-the-girls.blogspot.ca/2017/03/march-challenge-first-lets-take-selfie.html

Boys will be boys

Good afternoon, after a week hiatus I finally had some energy to go into my scrap room and spent the whole day down there. First up is a layout I created of my son and his friends at playgroup getting super messy. When I saw this month's inspiration at Scrap the Boys I just knew that I wanted to use this picture as they were such a disaster and took turns washing them up.

Here is the inspiration from Scrap the Boys: I was inspired by the brown and the idea of dirt.

Thank you for your wonderful comments and for stopping by, hope you can play along with Scrap the Boys this month: http://scraptheboys.blogspot.ca/2017/03/march-challenge.html
