Madeline Minnie Mouse Baby Album (342-361)

Well it's been another rough week. I have been battling what i though was a flu since Saturday and instead I find out that I am having what they think is an IBD attack so it's back to the city on Friday to have yet again another colonoscopy - - to say the least, I am very frustrated. anyways enough about that until i get more information, on to my next baby album. I am so beyond embarssed that this album is four months late, mom never had a baby shower (which I usually give as my "due date") so the supplies have been sitting on my kitchen table for almost 5 months. I am so glad I was feeling ok and was able to make this album this past weekend. I gave it to her this morning and there were tears in her eyes because she loved it so much, I hope you enjoy it too :)

Hello (339/365)

I am so happy I finally got some scrapping time this weekend!!!! I actually got this photo yesterday from my cousin and it was so sweet I couldn't wait to scrap it!!!

I was inspired by Scrappy Friends challenge. I was actually able to combine all three challenges (yay go me).

First up GrandDiva's Creative Corner, I flipped the sketch and took away the pennants: http://granddivasscrappyplace.blogspot.ca/2015/09/september-sketch-challenge-and-winners.html

Also Rochelle's tic-tac-toe challenge, I went with the top row of pennants (in the washi), washi tape (both top and bottom of photo) and notebook paper, : http://rochellespears.blogspot.ca/2015/09/september-tic-tac-toe-challenge-scrappy.html

As well as Kelly's colour challenge, I used the blue, green, and pink: http://www.creatingwithpaperandmore.blogspot.ca/2015/09/september-color-challenge-august-winners.html

Life is Good - ScrapMuch? September 11th DT reveal (334/365)

Good morning!!! Hope you are all doing well today :) I am still adjusting to working full-time, this week was a little harder as my little one started daycare and the transition is not going as smoothly as possible but we will persevere!!!! ScrapMuch? has some exciting news. .. if you haven't heard already please check out: http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Exciting-News--.html?soid=1103785679484&aid=2gJMw_TS4aY

On a more sombre note, today is September 11th, the anniversary of the twin towers terror attack, although I am a Canadian, this event effected all of us, so please take a moment to remember all those men and women who lost their life.

Today's layout was so fun to make!!!

Before I get into all the techniques and fun stuff on this layout, let me share this week's sketch:

See told you such a fun layout!!! I stayed pretty true to the sketch. To start I used three colours of tim holtz distress paint. While that was drying I cut the circle/doily and title with my silhouette.

To create the title, I painted the words with tim holtz distress paint (worn lipstick), when that dried I heat embossed the butterflies with magenta stampendous emobssing powder. I then painted the vines/leaves with distress paint and once that dried I used mint green liquid pearls to "paint" the flowers, then waited for that to dry and then added a dot of zazz to the middle of the flower. I'm so happy with the title even though it took about 12 hours (with all the drying time)!!

The papers are all Craft Smith's Tea Party. I used 6 brads on this layout (yup brads, how many of you have those hoarding in your stash??), they are a mixture of making memories and teresa collins daily stories. The flowers are prima. The sequins are avery elle - - on a side note i'm always asked what do i use to attach sequins to my page and i usually use glossy accents or heidi swapp scrappy glue. The tag i punched out and then inked with tim holtz distress pad (spun sugar).

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments (i really do love them), check out ScrapMuch's blog to see the rest of Team B's reveal and hopefully you can play along this month for a chance to win a prize, you have until September 29th to link your project: http://shopscrapmuch.blogspot.ca/2015/09/sketch-y-friday-with-team-b.html

Pretty Sweet (333/365)

I am sad to acknowledge that since I am now back working full-time that my scrapping time has been cut DRASTICALLY :( I know so sad. But the weekends will be dedicated somewhat to scrapping (atleast one day/night). This weeked was a long weeked so I was able to get three layouts done. The first one is 1 I got done for Let's Get Sketchy Week 1:

I am so happy with the way this layout turned out, I used Craft Smith's Mint Pink stack with recollection flowers, tim holtz paints, doodlebug design doilies, and bella blvd alphs. Here is this week's sketch:

Thank you for stopping by, hope youccan play along this month with Let's Get Sketchy: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2015/09/team-september-week1.html
