Gift making night

I was so fortunate today as my son was home from school and my husband had a day off so we were all home together so spent the chilly day inside in the living room watching movies, playing, and scrapping.

First up is my friend Megan who posed for this fun photo. I used a stencil and texture paste (which I tinted with paint and sprays). The trees (a2z scraplets), I painted green and then glittered the ends. I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 1: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-week-1-team-a.html

Next up is a selfie of Megan and I at gift making night. I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 3: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-week-3-reveal.html

Next up is my friend Sarah who is our "unofficial" baby holder. She is truly one of the best people in the world and I am so blessed to call her my friend. I was inspired by Let's Get Sketchy Week 2: http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-week-2-team-b.html

Next up is a fun layout of my son and I at gift making night, he was such a good listener that night and i'm pretty sure liked eating the chocolate chips more than making the gifts. I was inspired by Stuck?! Sketches September 15th sketch: http://stucksketches.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-15-2016-challenge-reveal.html

The last photo from gift making night is of my friend Amanda with her son making soup in a jar. I was inspired by Sketch~n~Scrap #113: http://sketchnscrap.blogspot.com

Wanna trade donuts mom??

next up tonight is  layout I created of my son last Chrsitmas, one night we went out with my parents and brother (along with his family) and after our walk along the pier we went for donuts. My son ordered a sprinkle donut and I ordered a chocolate one. After he had eaten most of his donuts and sprinkles, he asked if i wanted to trade donuts with him, because I love him i traded donuts with him and knew that I wanted to document:

I was inspired by: http://rochellespears.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-this-or-that-challenge.html

I used puffy shapes (donut stickers)

I used the scrappy friends sketch challenge as well: http://granddivasscrappyplace.blogspot.ca/2016/09/september-2016-sketch-and-scrappy.html

Santa's Workshop

here is yet another layout I created while I was at my scrapbook crop this past weekend, this next layout is one of my mom working at 2am Christmas morning on one of my husband's presents:

I misted the background and then stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes. I cut the background and title with a design from the silhouette cut shop. I then inked the title with chalk.

I am entering this in Lasting Memories #309 - UP
This weeks challenge is "UP"
Did you go up in a plane? Maybe flew a kite? Climbed up a mountain? So many options!

Thank you for stopping by, hope you can play along this month at Lasting memories: http://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.ca/2016/09/lm-309-up.html

The love of a family is life's greatest blessing

I absolutely love this layout!!! I cut the tree with my silhouette and then heat embossed the leaves with different embossing powders. The title I did with Inka Gold. I cut out the triangles our of a triangle paper (basic grey) and inked them with tim holtz distress ink. I added stampin up washi tape and buttons, the cardinals are k&company, and the stickers are from the dollar store

I am entering this in Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge where the challenge this month was to use the colour red: http://another-freaking-scrappy-challenge.blogspot.ca/2016/09/wow-september-back-to-school-for.html

Love these Girls

Next up is a wonderful layout of me and my girlfriends, whenever we get together, we try to remember to take a picture together, we've been friends for over 20 years and I love them so much!!!!!!

I used Scrap the Girls September Sketch as my inspiration:

I painted the title, then heat embossed the heart, then stamped the title the same colour ink as the paint and then heat embossed that as well.
