I discovered a new blog called My Sweet Earth, if you haven't heard about them before definitely check them out. They can be found at: http://mysweetearth.blogspot.ca/

The challenge was to use the following as inspiration:

Here is my take:

I used a sketch from Miss Melissa's blog. Supplies used:

  • perfect pearls mist - turquoise
  • perfect pearls mist - pink gumball
  • perfect pearls mist - heirloom gold
  • tattered angels glimmer mist - moss
  • tattered angels glimmer mist - indian corn
  • distress stain - peeled paint
  • sticko - funhouse pink metallic
  • paperbilities - cardstock letters
  • unknown magnetic words

February DCWV Stack-a-holic template Challenge

As you may or may not know, DCWV is my absolute favorite paper company. DCWV (aka Die Cuts With a View) has paper stacks and the greatest thing is that every paper in the stack goes together. Every month they post a template and you create a layout based on that sketch. This month's challenge is found here:
http://dcwvinc.blogspot.ca/2013/02/february-stack-holic-template-challenge.html

Here is my take (layout 58):

Supplies used:
  • DCWV Vintage stack as this picture is from my parents' 1977 wedding reception
  • K&Company border (que cera cera)
  • letters: thickers

I have to say I am pretty excited since we are only on day 44 today and I already have 57 layouts done (makes me happy when I am ahead of schedule).

I am not sure how much scrapping I'm going to get done in the next couple of days since right now I am defrosting my fridge since it decided to quit working (but the freezer on the bottom is still working) so I'm hoping it's just a matter of the fan being frozen and needing to defrost. Unfortunately, this means that the condiments that were in the fridge are now on the counter (my crafting space). Hoping I can put the fridge back together tomorrow and get some done before I go away this weekend.
