Easter Egg Hunt Prep - ScrapMuch? April 10th sketchy Friday DT reveal (129/365)

good morning :)

sorry for the very slow week, I woke up Monday morning with a sore throat and meant to talk to my doctor about it when I went and saw him that morning but we were so busy talking about my stomach issues that we got completely caught up in that and treatment plans and pain meds until we are able to get the next test done that I completely forgot to ask him about my throat. By Wednesday, my throat was so sore that i actually woke up twice in the night choking on my own saliva :( so I decided to go to walk-in - - but it was closed and since we were in town and i was so sore I decided I had to get it looked at so we went to emerg. Luckily there was no one there and we were in and out in 30 minutes (fastest ever!!!); unfortunately, my diagnosis was not as good - - strep throat. He did the throat swap test and gave me a prescription but to only fill it if the test came back positive that it was bacterial. In the mean time told to rest, drink lots of fluids and take tylenol/advil. I explained that I have been trying tylenol/advil since monday and it's not working - - keep trying hopefully it will soon (thanks for the help doc  - - boo). So now it's Friday and still no relief, i'm still living on chicken noodle soup and water (even applesauce hurts going down) so i'm hungry which is probably why i'm dizzy so all in all no scrapping for me.

On a brighter note, today is Friday which means Sketchy Friday at ScrapMuch? !!!!! Here is my take
on this week's reveal:

Here is this week's sketch (seriously LOVED playing with this sketch!!!):

see told you such a fun sketch right??

I am often asked about my misting and how it looks perfect all the time (i will be the first to tell you it hasn't always been this way) but there are a couple of things that I've learned along the way to help. To create the background I used my silhouette to cut the background on my white paper. To create the mist and splatters i used newspaper and a medicine dropper. I covered the silhouette cut with newspapers and taped the edges of the newspaper together so it wouldn't allow mist to get underneather:

I used a medicine dropper and tattered angels pop rocks glimmer mist:

and dropped it from varying heights:

I then used a cotton pad to pick up the excess (this also speeds up the drying process :)

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments :)

Hope you have a chance to play along this month at ScrapMuch? for a chance at a wonderful prize: http://shopscrapmuch.blogspot.ca/2015/04/sketch-y-friday-with-team-b.html
