This is - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday October 9th DT reveal (363/365)

good morning everyone!!! who's excited for the long-weekend??!!! I say long weekend because this weekend in Canada is Thanksgiving and I am so ready to stuff my face full of turkey!!! My mom has been up for a week and my dad comes tomorrow for a week so I will have both my parents here so i'm super excited about that, although considering I am working I don't see them as often as I would like but a couple hours at the end of the day is better than nothing ;)

Now onto this week's reveal, this was such a fun sketch that I knew that I had to do something a little bit more special and I am so happy with the results!!!

One of my cousins got married last year, this is the thank you card they sent me (you may remember I made them a scrapbook album http://kylesscrappymom.blogspot.ca/2014/06/backyard-bbq-inspired-wedding-scrapbook.html).

Here is this week's sketch:

And a couple of close ups: I did a lot of layering using flowers (prima), die-cuts (provo craft/cuttlebug), papers (my mind's eye - collectable), doilies (doodlebug design), enamel dots (my mind's eye), and inks (lindy's stamp gang)

used washi tape throughout the layout along with flowers and die-cuts (hearts), the glitter titles are Heidi Swapp:

For the background I used gesso then when that dried I made a mixture of texture paste and blue gelatos (to tint the texture paste) to go over my tim holtz hearts layering stencil to create a blue heart background:

I used doodlebug design faux stitching across my banners on the top and finished it with some more flowers and die-cut heart:

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments. I hope you can play along this month with ScrapMuch? You have until the 29th to link up your project to: http://shopscrapmuch.blogspot.ca/2015/10/sketch-y-friday-with-team-b.html for your chance to win a fabulous prize :)
