Family 2013 - WW1 May Challenge (layout 108)

Another month and another fabulous colour from White With 1. This month is gold. Now gold is usually not a colour I work with as I find it too sparkly, so this was definitely out of my comfort zone but I embraced it and am quite happy with the finished result.

My take:

To start I painted glamour dust (ultra fine glitter paint in gold glitz) aroudn the paper and then misted it with perfect pearls mists (heirloom gold). I didn't like the look of it so then i took my martha stewart lace latice edge punch and punched around the edge and added it to a gold paper. I was happier with the result as it looked more put together.

Other supplies:
papers: martha stewart (12x12 neutrals)
flourish: recollection
brads: bo bunny (silver and gold collection)
alphas: dollar store
doily: unknown
dove: this is actually from a Christmas tag from my brother and sister-in-law that was on a Christmas present last year

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments, hope you have a chance to play along at WW1: http://whitewith1.blogspot.com.au/2014/05/may-challenge.html
