Summer Hug (263/365)

Last summer while I was visiting my parents on Vancouver Island, my aunt (from yellowknife) and cousin (who was teaching in Guatemala) came for a visit. It was so great to see them, as I don't often to get see them (maybe once every couple of years) so I took full advantage and took pictures whenever I could. This picture was taken in my hometown at Harbour Quay. I am submitting it for Picture This! June 15th challenge: http://picturethischallenges.blogspot.ca/2015/06/june-15th-picture-this-challenge.html
1 photo + paint + stencil

I used one photo, misted a stencil (behind doily) and painted the outside of the paper with tim holtz distress paint (spun sugar).

I am also submitting this layout to another freaking scrappy challenge with june's challenge to use a new tool: I used a bunch of new things on this layout, the stamped words (new stamp), stencil (new stencil). . .the doily is also new, as well as the puffy stickers and paper!!! Hope you can play along with another freaking scrappy challenge: http://another-freaking-scrappy-challenge.blogspot.ca/2015/06/challenge-june-2015.html

Thank you for stopping by and for your wonderful comments, hope you can play along this month with these wonderful challenges :)
