Fishing Buddies - ScrapMuch? October 17 sketch (layout 335)

I cannot believe that i finally found my mojo this afternoon, between the crazy month it's been so far (and it's not even over yet). I get that it is only October but since I make 90% of our Christmas gifts I have to start early and always start with the albums that way if i am short on photos then i can work on getting more of them while I work on other gifts :)

When i saw this sketch I immediately thought of the photo of my grandpa and dad showing off their fish and had an idea of where I wanted to go with it but once i started working on it, the layout took a completely different way. Here is Scrapmuch? sketch:

And here is my take:

I am using the same stack for the entire album, DCWV (limoncello stack). The embellies on this layout i have had for awhile. The bear and bugs my mom gave me a couple of years ago as she found them at a yard sale. The tree came from my cousin who's friend gave them to her (cause she knew her cousin scrapbooked) and the title I bought a couple of years ago. So the only thing that is new here is the paper stack (even the picture is 20 years old!!!).

Thank you for stopping by, hope you can play along with scrapmuch? this month: http://nblo.gs/10IgH5

  1. Great take on the sketch, love that you traded out the doily for a tree! Thanks for linking up!
